Occupational Health Assessments

What is a Occupational Health Assessment?

An Occupational Health Assessment is a medical examination performed by a registered healthcare clinician with the aim of addressing questions raised by the employer. Its primary aim is to advise management regarding the employee’s health issue and to make recommendations on what adjustments could be considered to ensure a safe/healthy working environment for that employee. It can also be an assessment of somebody’s fitness to work.

How does it work?

Once a date is set for the assessments the swift process can can commence.

Pre-Assessment:

Medical questionnaires and data protection documentation will be sent to be completed by the employee. This will be collected on the day.

On the day:

A registered clinician will attend your workplace and provide a 20-30 minute health assessment for each employee.

Post-Assessment

A detailed analysis of the health assessment will be sent to the employee. The employer will receive certificate evidence that confirm that the employee has undertaken a health assessment.

How often should this be completed?

There is no fixed or best time to organise an Occupational Health Assessment. Cerebrum Medical Ltd recommend that individuals undertake a medical review every year to make sure that they are fit and safe to be in the workplace.
